The Township Zoning Commission typically meets the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Jackson Township Administration Building to review cases of re-zoning or text amendments to the regulations of the Township’s Zoning Code. The Board consists of five regular members and can have up to two alternate members, a quorum of three members is required to convene a public meeting and rule on cases presented.

Ronald Cooper, Chair
Ronald Cooper has served on the Zoning Commission for more than 20 years and was instrumental in the development of the current Zoning Resolution and the Township’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan. Ron’s current term expires December 2020. He has lived in Jackson Township since 1977.
Bronson Mallett, who has lived in Jackson Township 18 years, spent 25 years in the residential valuation and mortgage industry. He enjoys traveling to the beach with his wife, playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren. Bronson was appointed to the commission in January 2016 for a five-year term ending Dec. 31, 2020.
Timothy McGrath has served on the Zoning Commission since June 2007 and his current terms expires in December 2018. Timothy is an attorney at the Columbus law firm of Strip, Hoppers, Leithart, McGrath and Terlecky and has much zoning experience from having previously served on the Franklin County Rural Zoning Commission. He has lived in Jackson Township since 1983.
Brandi Newland is the first female to serve on the Zoning Commission. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University and is the broker/owner of RE/MAX Right Now off Stringtown Road. She was appointed to the commission in January 2016 for a five-year term ending Dec. 31, 2020.
George Schulz has served on the Zoning Commission since January 2007, and his term expires December 2019. Schulz is retired from the City of Grove City and is a lifelong resident of Jackson Township.
Dave Strawser has served on the Zoning Commission since June 1996, and his current term expires in December 2021. Mr. Strawser and his wife Mary have lived in Jackson Township since 1965.
