Jackson Township Zoning Appeals Meet the Members
The Township Board of Zoning Appeals
typically meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00pm
at the Township Hall to hear cases of VARIANCE,
CONDITIONAL USE and VIOLATION APPEALS for Township
property owners.
The Board consists of 5 regular
members and 2 alternate members, a quorum of 3 members
is required to convene a public meeting and rule on
cases presented.

Mr. Richard
Paddock,
Chair
Mr. Paddock has served on the BZA since October
1997 and his current term expires December 2008.
He is a professional traffic engineer
having retired from the Ohio Department of
Public Safety.
Mr. Paddock has B.S. in Civil Engineering
and a M.S. in Transportation Engineering and he
is the CEO of Traffic Safety Analysis Systems &
Services, Inc. located in Grove City, Ohio..

Mr. Compton has served on the BZA since December
2001 and his current term expires in December
2010.
He is an attorney in private practice in
Grove City having received his J.D. from Capital
University in 1989.
Mr. Compton specializes in family legal
services, probate, personal injury and medical
malpractice litigation.

Mr. Basler has served on the BZA since February
2000 and his current term expires in December
2011.
Mr. Basler
is a professional firefighter with the City of Columbus
Fire Department and the owner of Diamond Lawn &
Landscape, a local landscaping business

Mr. Morbitzer has served on the BZA since
January 2003 and his current term expires in
December 2012.
He is the owner of Capital City
Mechanical a full-service mechanical contracting
and plumbing company located in Columbus.

Mr. Jack Reber
Mr. Reber has served on the
BZA since November 1998 and his current term
expires in December 2009.
A navy veteran of WWII, Mr. Reber
volunteers much of his spare time with the
American Legion.
He and his wife have resided in Jackson
Township since 1966.

Mr. McCormick has served on the BZA since July
2003 and his current term expires in December
2009.
He is retired from service with the
Southwestern City Schools and now volunteers his
spare time with the American Legion.
He and his wife have resided in Jackson
since 1960.

Mr. Turrill has served on
the BZA since January 2007 and his current terms
expires in December 2008.
He is employed with Coca Cola as a
Maintenance Coordinator and is also the owner of
the SealMaster Company, a local blacktop sealing and
painting company.
