Observe simulated cardiac arrest response at EcoFest

Jackson Township paramedics are partnering with Mount Carmel Health Systems to demonstrate a simulated cardiac arrest response using a ZOLL AutoPulse resuscitation system and Laerdal Medical manikin at 1 p.m. Aug. 20, 2016 at the Grove City EcoFest.

Crews from Jackson Township Division of Fire will demonstrate the use of the AutoPulse by responding to a simulated cardiac arrest. The demonstration will be narrated and last 15 minutes.

Grove City EcoFest will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 20, 2016 at Henceroth Park — 2075 Mallow Lane in Grove City, Ohio.

“Our use of AutoPulse systems has greatly improved our treatment outcomes,” said EMS Capt. Bill Dolby of the Jackson Township Division of Fire. “Early intervention to a cardiac arrest increases survival rates two- to three-times so Grove City police officers now are trained in CPR because there are times they are the first to arrive on scene. The more who learn CPR the better.”
