Jackson Township Government Trustees Biographies

David E. Burris
– Mr. Burris has served as Township Trustee since
January 1998. His current term expires December 31,
2009. Mr. Burris has served as the chairman of the Board
of Trustees since 1999.
Mr. Burris’ goals for the Township are to
strengthen the bonds with the City of Grove City and
improve the training and policies for Township
employees. Mr. Burris is a retired paramedic /
firefighter having worked full-time at Franklin Township
for 25 years. He is an active member of the Franklin
County Township Association, Ohio Township Association,
Grove City Area Republican Club, Franklin County Fire
Fighters Association, Ohio Professional Fire Fighters
Association, International Association of Fire Fighters,
Volunteer Fire Fighters Benevolence Fund.
Mr. Burris and his wife Jody are active members
at the Grove City Church of the Nazarene and
have been residents of Jackson Township since
1978.

Stephen J. Bowshier
– Mr. Bowshier has served as Township Trustee since
January 2000. His current term expires December 31,
2007. Mr. Bowshier serves as the Township's Fire
Department Liaison.
Mr. Bowshier’s goals for the Township are to
improve the delivery of services and to create a
financial plan for the future needs of the community.
He received his Juris Doctorate from The Ohio
State University and has a law practice in Grove City.
Mr. Bowshier is an active member of the Franklin County
Township Association, Ohio Township Association, Grove
City Area Republican Club, and Grove City Church of the
Nazarene. He and his wife Cheryl live in Jackson
Township and have three sons.

William F.
Lotz Sr.
– Mr. Lotz has served as Township Trustee since January
1998. His
current term expires December 31, 2009.
Mr. Lotz serves as the Road and Service
Department Liaison for the Township. He is an
active member of the Elks and Grove City Methodist
Church. He
retired from the City of Grove City in 1998 where he was
employed as the Chief Building Official.
His goals for the Township are to improve roads,
fire services, zoning issues including removal of weeds
and junk from all neighborhoods and improve the
relationship with the Township and property owners. Mr.
Lotz
has been a lifelong resident of Jackson Township.
He and his wife Janet have one child and three
grandsons.
